STUDENTS AND PARENTS, PLEASE READ OUR SCHOLARSHIP MONTHLY CRITERIA. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND OUR CRITERIA AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. SECOND, ALL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED ON THEIR MONTHLY PARTICIPATION IN OUR MONTHLY ESSAY AND ART CONTEST OR ANY OF OUR MONTHLY ACTIVITIES. *

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS' CRITERIA

S.A.F.E. Diversity Communities

Book Ambassadors Scholarship Criteria
6th Grade- 11th Grade

  • Our Student Ambassador Programs are 12 months. All students, parents and/or guardians must attend 4 fall zoom workshops, 5 spring zoom workshops and 3 summer zoom workshops.    Students must also attend the in-person community outreach and activities event every 4th Saturday of the month and the 3rd Saturday in November and December.  All other students’ information will be discussed at the virtual zoom meeting every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM.

  • If the students miss 3 workshops without communicating with one of the scholarship coordinators, they will be ineligible for any of the SAFE Diversity Scholarships.

  • The students must submit a 200-word typed essay and colored art. All essays and art should be submitted by the 10th of each month.

  • The Environmental and Climate Justice essay is the bonus essay each month.

  • If you are one of the monthly contest winners, you must be present to pick up your cash gift on the 4th Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 12:00. Lunch will be served.

  • These ambassadors’ students must have 20 hours of community service hours by July of each year. We provide opportunities for the students to achieve these hours.

3-Pillar Scholarship Program- 12th Grade

  • High School Seniors must maintain a 2.0 GPA. Students will demonstrate professional leadership skills, honesty, and integrity, always dress professionally, and volunteer community outreach services hours in their community.

  • High School seniors must participate in monthly essay and art contests. They will submit a typed 200-word essay and colored art. It must be submitted by the 10th of each month by midnight. The Environmental and Climate Justice essay is our bonus essay each month. All other information will be given at the students and parents monthly meeting every 3rd. Tuesday night at 7pm and the 2nd. Tuesday in November & December.

  • The Senior Scholarships will be announced at the end of July at the monthly virtual zoom workshop each year. The senior scholarship recipients must be present at the Scholarship Check presentation in August. If a student does not attend, they will forfeit their scholarship. If you are one of the monthly contest winners, you must be present to pick up your cash gift and take a picture.

  • High School seniors must have 60 hours of community service hours by July of each year. We provide opportunities for the students to achieve these hours.

  • High School senior applicants must contact and interview a corporation or small business (not a non-profit organization) about their 3-Pillar Diversity and Inclusion and Equality for all in their corporation or business.

College Ambassador Scholarship Program

  • All college ambassador students must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Students will demonstrate professional leadership skills, honesty, and integrity, always dress professionally and do community outreach services hours with SAFE Diversity and in their community.

  • College ambassador students and/or parents or a family member must attend 4 Fall zoom workshops, 5 Spring zoom workshops and 3 Summer zoom workshops meetings from 10:00 am to 11:30am.

  • If the ambassador student misses 3 virtual workshops zoom without communicating with one of the ambassador coordinators, they will be ineligible for the College Ambassador Scholarships.

  • College students must participate in the 12 monthly essays contest. It must be submitted by the 10th of each month by midnight. If you are one of the monthly contest winners, you can send a family member to pick up your cash gift and send a picture with you holding your cash gift. The Environmental and Climate Justice essay is the bonus essay each month. 

  • All other information will be given at the students and parents monthly meeting every 3rd. Tuesday at 7pm. The 2nd Tuesday in November & December.

  • College ambassadors must have 60 hours of community service hours by July of each year. We provide opportunities for the students to achieve these hours.
